WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY in images!
Our main theme on the 5th of June was ‘BEAT PLASTIC POLLUTION’. To effectively meet up with the UNITED NATIONS Environment Program objective: To draw attention to environmental issues particularly on plastic wastes, we organized clean-up campaigns in the Littoral region of Cameroon precisely in Douala 5th in Bepanda (One to One, Peuple and Entrée Bepanda). We equally shared flyers on strategies to recycle (given plastics a second life) plastics for home used and as a source of revenue. Our public was basically interested on how to recycle plastics and were willing to undertake training sessions to this effect. The public was equally sensitized on the different health issues related to plastic waste disposal. Diseases such as cancer, lungs problems and cold and cough were highlighted. These illustrations were mentioned to meet up with our main objective.
